Corbin vs Clay Co predictions
#1
I am really looking forward to this one. It could be ugly in a lot of different ways. For one both teams really struggle to shoot. It will be fun to watch pietrowski and wagers battle. Akins needs to step up for hounds to win. Roark needs to be more of a factor for clay to win. Also, grub has been a beast on the boards. Clay has a lot of momentum coming off the NL win. Its gonna be a tussle!

One will have to go with Corbin in this one. Playing on their home floor they are already up 10-0 before the opening tip.

So sick of that sh!t.  That's fake news. Corbin should win but it will have nothing to do with referees or home cooking.

I saw corbin get hosed by bad calls at clay co last year. Tony P got T’d up and almost thrown out of his own tournament against somerset. I will be on the look out for bad calls in corbin monday.

Just gives substance to what I said.

There is ZERO substance to what you said. I've watched Corbin home basketball games since they were playing at old Edwards Gym and John Crow Fletcher was head coach. I haven't seen anything of what you, or others, have espoused. Why would 13th region officials favor Corbin over Clay, or South Laurel , just because the game is at Gilliam Gym.

I predict the score of the game will be 0-0. (Ice and snow wins)

If game is played, Corbin wins.

Corbin hasn't exactly been setting the house on fire with their play of late. I think 12 is pushing it. If the Blackburn kid is hitting 3's like last game and Akins goes studly, then maybe. i think this has the potential to be a close one late in the game. Whoever makes the plays the last four minutes comes out on top.

Short commercial editorial:
And yes, by God, I was a Glenn Gray fan. Thought he was a helluva coach.  Saw him outcoach Knoxville Catholic with three D1 players and hold them scoreless in the fourth quarter in the CFIT a few years ago. I'd never seen a top tier team held scoreless before that. Also saw him coach circles around Jeff Davis and completely shut down South Laurel in the first round of the 13th region a few years ago. Helluva coach. Helluva man. Clay County's loss.

Fun fact: As to the Fighting Irish of Knoxville Catholic, they took it on the chin from the Fighting Cocks(not making that up) of Cocke County the other night.    If you've never taken it on the chin from a fighting cock, well... maybe you should.  :)

Prediction: Let's say the Hounds by 8.

At least someone thinks that. Don't know of a single individual here who thinks the way you do. Glen Gray -  JJ Redick of his time.  having only coached grade school basketball prior to getting his cronies to force Marcum out.  Bet you one of his drinking buddies. Stating Gray was a good coach only proves my theory. You don't know nothing.

He's beaten about every coach in the region, including Coach P, Davis , Valentine and others. Lot of good wins outside the 13th, as well. I stand by what I've said. The guy was a good basketball coach and a class guy.

Hey. Even the sun shines on a dogs backside some days. Now the guy Gray bamboozled out of his job, Robert Marcum. He is a class guy in my opinion and a lot of other people associated with the program. Water under the bridge now with Little Mike at the helm. Just not a Gray fan myself. Never have been never was and never will be.
