Belfry may need to take a plane to get to Morganfield next week to play. 6 hours and 20 minutes and nearly 400 miles to get there. Be interesting to hear Belfry’s travel plans for this one. Loooed it up and you actually have to go through Indiana to get there. Is this a record for one school traveling to another between 2 Kentucky teams? Can anyone familiar with Union County tell us how their facilities are and the bleacher set up?

Wow thats a haul- and with it being Thanksgiving it going to be tough to leave early. Should be a great matchup of two hard-nosed running teams.

Belfry definitely needs to stack the box vs Union County. They have only passed the ball 99 times vs 384 rushing attempts. The Johnson kid has over 2,000
Yards and 35 td. No one else on the team has more than 6 and just over 500 yards. Don’t forget Union also has to stop Belfry offense too and they have many more weapons than Union.

From pictures and reports that I have gotten, it doesn’t look like a great facility. That is in no way disrespecting Union County. This will be the longest trip in BHS history. Early word is that the team may travel part of the way Thursday, but this is not final at all. I will update as soon as I know their plans. From what I’ve seen, Johnson is a beast!!! Heck of a player!!

Lawrence County traveled to Mayfield in 1991 for the state semi finals. I think they spent the night halfway. No school should have to do this.

Belfry has to work hard this week.

Union has the pieces to expose Belfry’s weaknesses.

Belfry has to improve on tackling, option execution, and pursuit angles or they will bring home an L after all those miles.

What I do know is Coach Haywood and his staff knows what it takes to win on Black Friday. Should be a dandy. I say Belfry finds a way to get it done and wins by a missed extra point.

Here is last nights Union County vs Hart County game. Union County completely dominated. Hart County runs the flexbone as well so Union County has seen a similar offense to Belfry’s but Belfry will be able to see how Union defended it.

For Belfry fans to understand how far they are traveling for the game, from BHS to WKU where they played in so many state finals was 4 hours 40 minutes and 279 miles. Union County is almost another 2 hours and over 100 miles further.

I heard they were flying also, but that they were flying out of the Williamson International Airport and Tire Center via Air France aboard a Concorde.  I also heard Belfry was chartering 8 jumbo jets for the fans and boosters.

It's 387 Miles from Belfry, KY to Union Co, Ky. It's closer to go to Canada from Belfry, KY 385 Miles. That's crazy. That's right a whole different Country.
