I’ll take KCD but I don’t trust them

KCD beats Campbellsville and squeaks by Bethlehem in OT, so which Bearcat team shows up Friday? Last year they probably should've lost to Ludlow in this round, but a massive 6-0 turnover ratio saved them.
Newport earned this game by stifling Ludlow's run game and winning the turnover battle in a 23-7 win. Their SOS is very weak with Llyod Memorial and Newport Central Catholic being their best opponents. In those two games they combined for 14 points and 223 yards on offense while giving up 74 points and 497 yards on defense.
I don't think Newport will have much success running the ball in this game (less than 80 yards) and the KCD defense has seen enough solid passing attacks (DeSales, Bethlehem, Louisville Holy Cross twice) to be prepared. So that leaves one question for me. Can Newport contain the KCD ground game enough to give them a shot to win in a low scoring affair? I'm expecting no, mostly due to Newport being unable to control time of possession. As for turnover potential, KCD averages 1.3 fumbles per game while Newport has averaged 0.6 fumble recoveries per game.
Weather conditions should favor KCD's style of play, so the predictions of them winning by 2-3 scores seems plausible. On the other hand, game flow with KCD doesn't induce too many blowouts. To win by the upper scoring margin the Bearcats will need to play a superior defensive game or possibly have a defensive TD. They have no special teams TDs on record this year.

KCD should win this one. But both KCD and Cville could fall and it wouldn’t surprise me
