Knuckles received two personal fouls in the game leading to his ejection. By rule, he'll be suspended for this game and their opening district matchup with Shelby Valley.

Varney will be able to step in for Pike Central though and make plays, IMO. He started the season as the QB and didn't do too bad vs West Carter and I think he played a few series vs. Martin County also. He threw a TD pass for PC's only TD vs. Prestonsburg as well.

Jags have never defeated the Hawks either, so that's something to keep in mind going into this game. Not only could the Jags get their first win on the season but they could also snap their losing streak to Pike Central. Should be a interesting game.

Congrats on the win last week. I sure hope to see you all beat Betsy Layne think it be a good game. Varney is going to be a good qb. In the future if it was me I’d give him a shot at starter to see rest of the year. I do know we have lot of youth goin to be starting. Everybody we got besides a few is in 10th grade
