Very good game by Frederick Douglass. Congratulations!! I thought Freddy D played a very well balanced game plan and clearly dominated from start to finish.

The power run game was unreal. Physically was there big time. Defense played very good!! Loved the energy the players were showing on the field.

Freddy D has a fine football team and played well. I predicted the exact final score. Woke up every morning this week with that score in my head so I knew what the outcome of this one would be. Those who were saying Douglass wasn't that good were fools. They are an excellent team and very well coached.

Now the bad...

Corbin was awful. They have no clue how to defend..ANYTHING! That Guy fella(the so-called defensive coordinator) is stealing money from the high school. He needs to be selling insurance or running a funeral home instead of coaching football. Douglass outplayed and outcoached Corbin by a mile.

As I said, Douglass has a fine team and an outstanding program. They are most definitely a threat to win 6A. Now the bad...

If Frederick is connected in any way to GLICOD, they should be ashamed of themselves for allowing a product like that to go out over the airwaves. What a disgrace! The Hamilton clown was the worst I have ever heard in over 50 years, even worse than most of the hillbillies that attempt to call games around SEKY on Fridays. Hamilton was relentless in his insistence on butchering the Corbin players' names. Even after he was told the correct pronunciation he intentionally mispronounced them again and again. GLICOD should immediately designate him for assignment to powderpuff games.

Thinking about something a teaching friend told me on Monday. He's been a huge Reds, Bengals, UK fan like me for years and years. Saw him for the first time in a couple or three years. He was a different guy. Looked like Father Time was starting to takes its toll on his body. Said he has new perspective. Sports is not very important. If Corbin or the Bengals lose, it doesn't affect my life in any measurable way. Doesn't put money in my bank account or take any of the plaque out of my arteries. He said that he doesn't fret about ballgames anymore.

That's what I meant a few months ago when I said that when UK loses, I move on. Games used to bother me for weeks. Now they don't sting for long like they used to. Perspective that comes with being an old man, I guess.

Well Corbin has to win out the regular season. They must win the road game at Johnson Central. Then hope that Johnson Central beats Ashland. This is going to be interesting to see how it all plays out. Boyle is definitely way ahead of the 2-6 spots in 4A. Just what I see. If Corbin beats JC, I do think they will take over the 3rd spot in the East.

They've had their way with opponents up until last night. They moved the ball at will the first three games. They realized they were up against a different kind of beast last night and didn't know how to respond. They were beaten at that point. When you start believing you are gonna lose, you've already lost. That was Corbin last night.
