Pikeville at LCA 9/6

Pikeville at LCA. Thoughts?
#2
Beginning of year, I thought Pikeville would beat LCA this year. Pikeville returned a lot and LCA lost a lot. But after 2 weeks, Panthers aren’t ready for this game. It’s a weird vibe there right now and it’s a long post to describe all the areas they are struggling. I don’t see a path for them to win. LCA will win convincingly.

Pulling for Pikeville, but I gotta pick LCA
#4
LCA has a non existent passing game, but they run the ball very well. They moved the ball via the run against a 4A top contender in Franklin Co. just add a little passing to their offense and they will be on the mixed again in 2A. Eagles wins this one.
#5
Unless the Panthers make some serious changes in it's performance all around, it will be a long quiet bus ride back to Pikeville.
#6
Pikeville in a close game 22-14
#7
As much as want Pikeville to win I can’t pick them in this game so LCA gets their first win of the season and Pikeville is at 0-3 to start the season
#8
I’m guessing Pikeville is about to drop to 0-3 but that is not good news for the rest of 1A. They will come out of that 0-3 stretch battle tested, angry and prepared to wreck the rest of class A. Nobody cares how you started the season if you win game 15.

I’m going with Pikeville. I don’t think LCA is anywhere close to what they was last year. Damn….i have more faith in Pikeville then Pikeville fans do. Chin up buckaroo’s

Pikeville bounces back this week with a 1 score win. LCA isn’t what they were last year.
#11
Dang what a schedule for both teams to start the season. Another barn burner.
#12
Hoping for a good game. If Anthony is out then Panthers must rely on passing game. LCA defense has looked strong so far against really good teams. I’m going with LCA
#13
This appears to the best defense LCA has had in maybe ever , so I’ll take the Eagles by 2-3 scores.
#14
Not so fast Both team have play two great teams I think LCA lost a lot more them Pikeville I think coach Mac will have his line improved this week I take Pikeville by 3 scores
#15
I would have made this one the game of the week in the Pick em.

I would be the happiest bat sh!t crazy b@st#d alive if  Corbin abuses the Catholic preppies from Lex, , Boyle turns St Eddie into Sister Christian and Pikeville Skull Fux the Academy sissies.  Now, truth be told, the chances of all of that happening is about as likely as me being raptured at halftime of Friday's game.

^^^2 chances of you ever being raptured - slim and none. And Slim's out of town.

The only prediction I will make on this game is the winning HC will be a Pikeville alum.

I'm going to go against your predictions and say the losing head coach will be a Pikeville alum.

If Anthony is out does Pikeville try to establish a passing game? First issue is giving Duty time to throw and getting the snap back to him. JC blitz had the line rattled and Duty is not that mobile of a QB, needs time to throw. I don’t think the staff knows what kind of offense they want or need. Some really questionable play calling last game.

I think teams will continue to put a lot of players in the box and make Pikeville beat them passing which they seem to have the weapons to do. Why they haven’t done more of it when the box is crowded, not sure. Seems like it would help the run game. That’s what makes them good is all their talent but they are definitely out of sync these first two games and their schedule is unforgiving.

Couldn’t agree more.  The talent and speed is there. Hoping Pikeville can r get back on track.

I think Pikeville is in a similar situation to Raceland. They have a more athletic team across the board this year but seem to be struggling to find an identity on offense with these rosters. I think both would be better suited using the intermediate passing game, but time is of the essence and both seem to have some issues with protection right now.

Pikeville hasn't proven they can even score 3 times much less win by 3 scores. I understand it was against stiff competition, but LCA has put up more points on better defenses. LCA has to be the favorite on paper with Pikeville having a punchers chance.
