Congrats to Greenup Co., their coaching staff and their fans.

I have to admit. In the early part of the season, I thought the 63rd would be won by Russell. But Coach Allison put on a master class in coaching and proved me wrong. They got better through the season and they are playing their best basketball now!

I believe Greenup Co. is a perfect example of what good coaching can do for player development and a program.

I’m not sure Greenup has the man power to play with the top teams in the 16th Region tournament but I’ve been wrong before.

I would love to see Greenup elevate to a consistent regional contender. They are not there yet but I believe they have done "more with less" this year than any other team in the region. On a side note, I love to watch games in their gym, it just has a cool vibe. If we ever have a conflict playing the regional tournament at Morehead my vote is to play at the Greenhouse.
