Great win for the Tomcats!!! Freshman Chris Johnson and sophomores JD Adams and Will Skaggs stepped up HUGE for the Tomcats in the 4th quarter. Adams had 20, Johnson scored 9 in the 4th with 3 blocks, and Skaggs hit 3 free throws to seal the win. Matt Thomas went out early in the 3rd with an apparent dislocated finger. He left to go to the hospital, hopefully he will be back next week. Ryan Bonner and Danny Coleman both had solid games! Great win! Thank you Coach Biggs!

Yeah GIAT, I was very impressed with him tonight. He played well on both ends of the court. He is fearless!! I've been to watch Ashland twice and both times he hasn't been afraid to launch it from anywhere. He'll be a dandy in the near future.

Great game to watch tonight. Ashland trailed at the end of the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd but were able to get the win in the end. Seems like Matt dislocated his pinky, but the young Tomcats played great in his absence. Chris Johnson might be a bigger basketball beast than his brother Matt before it's all said and done. I'd rather see him still playing some JV ball though instead of starting just because the experience minutes could be crucial for his future development.

Johnson has been playing JV. But I say he will be starting Varsity by the AIT.

One thing I forgot to mention was how Ashland switch to a 2-3 zone in the 2nd half really slowed down Ironton's offense. Great adjustment by Coach Biggs!! Probably the first time we have played a zone since he has been here.
