Bell county will run wild against the Tigers. I really like this Bell county team. They are talented in many areas.

I think offensively they have 5 or 6 pieces that could be very valuable if they got some touches, but 2-3 carries a game or 5 pass attempts a game doesn’t really make the stats shine. I think when they get to a team in the playoffs that has the players to stop thomas they can count on the young guys every where else. Sometimes the best play all this year has been a fake to thomas and everyone else is wide open but when you have a horse you’re gonna ride him.(10-16-2023, 12:04 PM)Fat Cat Fan Wrote: Bell county will run wild against the Tigers. Clay can't stop a clock. Their story ever year, weak schedule and no defense with a lot of coach speak. Seems like they played every weak 1a team in the mountains plus Leslie Co.

Clay if injured still will have a running clock put on them. If they are healthy they make score enough to prevent the clock run. Either way Bell will be too much for Clay to stop or keep up with.

If Clay co. would get someone in there that can teach discipline and one that had just an average sense of defense, they would be above average. They have some decent talent lurking around there. It's just not channeled in the right direction. They can score points, but it comes back to discipline and fundamentals. They get a decent D in front of them like rock or bell, and they fall apart. They get away from they do good play calling wise and it compounds the effect. But they have some good skills players. Not paid much attention to their trenches but im sure its not horrible. But you're right about the clock. They have the perfect feeder system with all the elementary schools there. At one point I think they had 5 or 6 teams with 15-20 players. As a middle school coach I'd be licking my chops seeing that. But there seems to be problems in translating those kids to M.S. and then H.S.

I’m say close game if bell hasn’t got there D fix no pressure since the week 1 corners playing 8 to 10 yards off the ball linebacker not going down hill the worse bell county defense I ever seen hopefully they got sum of it fix over the bye week but I doubt till they can there D coordinator I don’t see ever getting any better

About 5 kids are playing 20 miles west that would be that difference you’re referring to.
