Just when Murray looked like they were putting things together they have a poor performance on the road to a respectable Crittenden Co team. It was a very disappointing loss for the Tigers and makes their playoff picture more difficult *(see below). All scenarios are in play for them being seeded 1 through 4, with the 3 seed looking most probably. Their best case would be to take care of business in this game against Caldwell, and then pull off an upset against Mayfield at War Memorial. This would force a 3-way tie for the 1 seed in 2A district 1 (assuming Mayfield beats Crittenden Co). Don't necessarily count out the Tigers as we've seen them pull off some monumental upsets in the past.

Caldwell Co is going through some real growing pains and just not playing the football we are accustomed to seeing out of Princeton. They have played a pretty tough schedule (actually tougher than Murray) and have some quality players but remain winless. Never count out a team in a rivalry district game but this will be tough on the road. They have better chances the next 2 weeks to pick up their first win.

*Murray playoff picture, expecting 3 seed scenario:
They'll have a winnable road game in round 1 (projecting Fort Campbell), and then be right back at War Memorial to face Mayfield in round 2. With the way Owensboro Catholic has been playing, it might be better they get their chance 30 minutes down the road rather than 2 1/2 hours away. History says otherwise though (Murray playoff records last 25 years: against OCath 6-4, against Mayfield 1-8)
