Harney's transfer from Beechwood to CCH was approved by the KHSAA and then they came back a month later and deemed him ineligible, pending an investigation after they received an anonymous letter challenging the transfer and claiming improprieties on the Harney family's part. So that transfer is not a sure thing.

The situation at Betsy Layne will be interesting to watch the next few months. Two rotation players quit during summer ball and now they have at least three if not more suspended from yet another brawl inside the program. They had had to end the game early vs Pineville in Louisville over the weekend due to so many ejections.

I"m hearing a lot are already thinking about leaving anyway. One player is is trying to do it all and the others are tired of it not being dealt with because of their name.

Several people have told me that the kid that has played the best has been coming off the bench all summer and he is already talking to other programs.

One more behavior issue and I could see the Floyd County Board shutting them down anyway.

Which players quit and who was the player off the bench that was performing well? I heard about the incident In Louisville but not if any players were disciplined or quit.

Three suspended. Two quit, but one has returned already. Not going to put kids names out here in a negative light.

I didn't say the kid was the best player- just playing the best at the moment. He has started some, but comes off bench when full team is there. I saw him get into double figures within minutes of getting into the game only to be frozen out the rest of the game. He kept rebounding and playing defense though. BL was noticably better with him on the floor. It's not hard to figure him out- he looks like a different kid from last year. He must be living in the weight room and stands out as their strongest player. I can't see him staying if they really think they have five better than him.

I would tell the kid to leave if it were up to me. One kid just left the team in the middle of a tournament and one quit in the middle of a game. The kid that left the tournament told other players that he quit.

So, one of them may have came back and one may have went to football, but both quit on their team when they were playing and counting on them.

I’m just curious who the kid is that’s coming off the bench? I mean if he is playing well give credit when credit is due and put his name out there.

Who will be North Laurel’s Starting five be? I look for Chadwell to dominate 13th Region in the paint. Brody Brock, Colton Rawlings, Cole Jervis, Reece Davidson round out my picks as starters for the Jaguars. North could actually be the team to beat as long as Chadwell stays healthy.

Ain’t nothing wrong with transferring. Why should a kid be trapped playing for a politic playing Ahole coach only in it for the extra paycheck? See it all the time. If transferring is all we got to worry about then the world is still in pretty good shape.
