Carter County now has land and Construction on the new school is expected to start in 2024 per the Ashland Daily Independent.

I hope they don’t do the lame thing where they adopt the mascot “Comets” and use the colors of Navy and Red.


They should create a whole NEW vibe:  adopt a cool mascot; like say, Carter County Conquistadors and have sharp colors like Silver, Purple, and Black!!

Have someone riding a horse in metal armor and swinging a sword during home football games!
