I think that SV should remain on top of the polls until someone knocks them off since they are the returning champion of the 15th. As for players, Slone gets the nod and IMO the best player in the 15th. What do some of the other teams have coming back?

These rankings look much more realistic than the Cats Pause did, especially for the player rankings. Weird to see 8 out of the top 10 players playing for 3 teams, SV, Paintsville, and Pikeville....but it appears to be accurate.
#4
looks good
#5
I think its good but idk Pike Central is going to be very very very young this season to add to that last season we didnt even make it out of district...we are getting to much love being ranked 4th.
#6
Great list.
#7
Looks good to me. Glad to see Pike Central in the mix of the top 5.

I'm still not sold on Ashley Hatfield. He didn't impress me the few times I seen him play last year, but then again he was young. I agree with the top 3 teams, but after that I don't have a clue as to which team has what comin back or anything. I would switch some of the players around. Dustin May isn't even on the list??? IMO he is the best big man in the 15th until somebody steps up and proves otherwise. He should definately be in the top 5. Jacob Bryant is better than #7 in the region for one thing and Shane Grimm is better than #9.

I have seen most of the teams play so far and this is the order they should be in right now. Could change as the season goes long. Still to early to pick right now.

Ashley is a heck of a player. From what he told me, he is coming off a injury. When he gets back in his groove, he will be a huge asset to SV. I would also like to tip my hat to Kerby, I dont know if I spelled his name right, but he is a very good player also.
It's not the size of the dog in the fight. It is the size of the fight in the dog.

No way is Pikeville any lower than #3. The top team has to be SV, and you can interchange the 'Ville's at #2/3, but there is a big dropoff after those three.

So you would drop Pikeville from 3rd to 5th??? Punishing them for having a good football team?? Very interesting!!!

So what you are saying is, if Knott County was in the 15th then they would be number 5 and Pikeville drop down to number 6?

Yes because the way they played against KCC the football team would not have helped them.

Listen to what you are saying! You continue to say how good KCC is and you are bashing Pikeville on every thread. The final score was 55-54!!! If Pikeville is so bad then where does that put KCC? Anyone that has any knowledge of the game of basketball will tell you that Pikeville, Prestonsburg, and Belfry are not very good prior to Thanksgiving...that is just a fact. BUT they all usually improve as the season goes along.

I just think it is funny how Bobby1 makes a post that the number 1 team in the 14th better watch out for KCC, but then he said that KCC would be the number 5 team in the 15th. Kind of a strange way of putting things. Does he think the 15th is really that much stronger than the 14th?

It is Curby, but I agree that he looked much more agressive than he has in the past.

Sorry for the mis spelling. I know his name but never did know how to spell it. But I think he will be a excellent player by the end of this year or midway threw next year.

Not sayin he ain't a good player, I'm just not sold on him bein the #3 player in the region.

The potential is there, but he needs to get stronger and become a little more aggressive around the basket. Remember, he is just a sophomore, he has three more years to improve. Ashley may well be the #1 player in the region by his senior year.

That's what I was talkin about, I knew he was just a freshman last year and he made alot of mistakes when I watched him play. But as a freshman you could tell he is gonna be good, just don't know about #3 in the region this year.

I'm still in shock over Dustin May not bein on this list.
