Well this is something that I hate to hear, and it's sad to see this happen to him, but deserves this after lieing about using steroids.

I'm suprised it took this long.

Anybody like to place bets that he'll spend under a year in jail if he goes at all?

Stephen A. Smith is already calling this a race related charge.

Stephen A. Smith is an absolute moron, and usually anything that spews out of his mouth is garbage. He isn't half the reporter David Aldridge was.
Back on topic, I am not surprised, although like others have said I thought it would've gone down long ago by now. Couldn't be happening to a nicer guy...

I personally can't stand Smith. He is so arrogant the way he spouts off. Its obvious Bonds was on the juice. He said the reason he showed up swolen up and about 40 lbs heavier is because he started his workout routine and diet a few weeks earlier than normal after the homerun chase in 98. If anyone knows anyone that has been on the stuff before or have been on it themselves, its obvious. Look at the color in his eyes or how swolen his face become. Also if you start any program a few weeks earlier its not going to make that big of a difference in the way one looks. Bonds was always slender and its very hard to believe that the few extra weeks allowed him to gain so much mass. They also said in the indictment that they have proof that Bonds did in fact fail a roid test. Anyone that has taken one of the MLB banned substances, their names were released to the media. Look at Paul Byrd, former St. X grad and Cleveland Indian pitcher. His name was released before game 6 or 7 of the ALCS. Its definately not a race issue or a witch hunt when dealing with Bonds.

He deserves every bit of it. Someone that needs something to help them do good in a sport, its ridiculous.

Bonds has always been a good player. Steroids cannot improve your hand-eye coordination that allows you to see the ball and make contact, but it will improve your bat speed. Having not taken the roids many of his HR's may have been singles or doubles. Also the juice could have led to his past few seasons being injury prone. Steroids weaken the bones, tightens up your ligaments, especially in the knees, and causes one to fatigue more frequent when cycling off. Notice the amount of games he sat out for because he needed rest.

I was hoping he was innocent, I did'nt want to see the HR tainted. But, if he's guilty I hope he gets what he deserves.

I was watching a report on CNN and the headline said "Bonds is looking up to 30 years in prison." Guess we will find out as time passes by and december 7th when he goes to federal court. I agree I am surprised it took this long to get this news out.

Like I said, I'll be surprised if he does anymore than a year, if he does any time at all, but then again, I say people use race as an excuse, but he might do time where he wouldn't if he was white. Just my opinion though.

I hope he doesn't get 30 years, I mean I know he commited a federal crime but jeez. I'm sure they won't be that harsh on him, ****, if they just took the record away from him if found guilty i would like to see him go free.
