Watching both play at the Death Valley Bowl Danville appeared to be a better team than Somerset. Somerset beat Garrard County that night 28-14. The next week Danville beat Garrard 36-0. Danville should win the game. Failing that and losing a fifth game in a row would be an all time low.

Danville hasn’t beaten a team with a winning record this season and beat only one team with a winning record when they went 8-5 last year. How many running clocks have been put on the Admirals in the past two seasons? 5? These facts are indicators of underlying problems.

McDonald’s new direction has been a disaster. Danville is at an all time low that’s about to get lower if they keep their heads in the sand.

I was told there was 4 players ejected and I believe another player broke his leg during the game. I'm going with Somerset by 2 tds

If I recall, wasn’t here a post last year on a bunch of flags thrown in playoff game with these two teams?

I’ve heard stories on how this rivalry dates back for years.

Somerset going into the game pretty healthy so if they can stay that way, I think they’ll be ok. Win this one and beat Washington County. Maybe they’ll feel good about their chances in playoffs.

Danville had 2 starters ejected, the heart and soul of there defense Xzavion Brown went out 2nd qtr with a knee injury, heard he didn't practice today, Starting Safety Jaylen Dunn didn't play Friday night and didn't practice today, a few kids quit. Danville is a total disaster right now. Kids on the sidelines throwing the football around during the game, kids on a knee during the game with helmet off, kids on the track talking to their parents during the game, they had 26 kids in uniform Friday night, 7 of them being freshman. If you want to see a dysfunctional football team/program go to admiral stadium Friday night. All in All Danville will still have the best player on the field in Demauriah Brown, but he has no help at all. Somerset and Guy Bailey will have a field day running the ball especially if Xzavion Brown can't play. Somerset 35 Danville 21.

I don't think Somerset should win, not on talent and ability. If Danville losses this is definitely the final straw. Clevenger I'm sure will be back next year.

EDIT: I didn't know about the ejections. Danville cannot afford to lose anyone. I have to go with Somerset because Danville at full strength I was going to go something like 21-14 for Danville. As is:

Not sure what is going on at Danville but they have the talent to win this game and I hope they do.

With that said, if they don’t win, I expect some changes to be made. Also, if I’m Clay Clevenger, I wouldn’t go back into that mess again- I realize Danville has attempted to make changes for the better but, a dumpster fire doesn’t doesn’t go out in a couple months time…. This is a long process that will take years.

I honestly believe that Danville is better, but they are close to a team/parent revolt so I don't think they can overcome the adversity. They should give Clay Clevenger a public apology and hire him back at any cost. Like, this afternoon.

Having lost half of their roster how can Danville not try to rehire Coach Clevenger? The implosion this season, going from 41 players to less than 20 in 6 games and losing 4 straight, shows exactly how horrible the decisions the last administration made are. I wouldn’t let those people administrate the folding of a cardboard box.

Because he helped build it as a player winning multiple state championships and earning multiple all state honors and then he built it back as a coach to again a state championship. Because he’s the only person that can do it quickly. Because he is an Admiral. But I hear you, why would anyone walk into that burning building? The answer is, to save the kids. You are probably right though, after the way the school treated him he may never come back and rightfully so. Nobody can help these kids quicker than Clevenger can.
