Steelers 38 Ravens 7
#1
Wow, thats all I can say. I think we have to be in discussion as one of the top 3 teams in the NFL.

I have both the Steelers D and Ravens D in fantasy football. Very glad I put in the Steelers D, lol. That game was one of the hardest hitting games I have seen in a while. Hines Ward was laying out players like Ed Reed who is used to making hits like that. Great performance by Pittsburgh and I agree they have now solidified themselves as one of the top contenders not only in the AFC but the NFL as well.

Glad to see them getting some respect around here...haha

DOMINATION ! All you can say! Didn't help the Ravens any either that Pittsburgh was honoring Bill Cowher and Mean Joe Greene and other Steeler greats and wearing the throwback uniforms. The crowd was electric as it always is in the Steel City!

Every Steeler Fan should have been there at halftime they brought the entire 75th Anniversary Team out on the field. I'm talking Greene, Blount, Ham, Bleier, Bettis, Harris, Swann, Stallworth, Dawson(Ky boy), LC Greenwood, Bradshaw and many more just what I can think of right off hand. Cowher brought a huge cheer and when Hank Jr. came out to sing the Anthem in his Steelers coat he got about five minutes a cheering and Terrible Towel waving.....ABSOLUTELY CRAZY ATMOSPHERE. I was standing between the uprights on the open end of the field beside the MONDAY NIGHT COUNTDOWN stage.

YOUR IN STEELERS COUNTRY

Lambert was not there he was about the only one who wasnt. I would have loved to see him. I dont think it is hard feelings or anything. After retirement he became a game warden. I think he has a farm and enjoys his new career. He was never a camera guy and wouldnt have liked all the attention so he said Thanks but No thanks on coming back to town.

I know he was at the 1979 team 25th anniversary deal in '04 and got the loudest ovation of them all. To me that guy will ALWAYS be the heart and soul of the Steelers. Im sending you a PM.

to any true Steelers fan, Lambert's face should be what you think of when you think of the Steeler franchise. Those Steeler teams had great players at every position, but when it comes to the face, its Jack Lambert. Hands down. I read in the book "Tales from behind the Steel Curtain" a few funny stories about him. One time during the '79 season Lambert and some buddies was drinking in a bar, when this guy who played at the very end of the Packer dynasty in the '60s came in and sat across the bar from him..he walked over to Lambert and they started arguing about who the greater dynasty was, so Lambert whipped his ***, lol..simple as that. Another story: the guy who wrote the book, Jim Wexell, was trying to catch up with Lambert after the Steelers/Redskins game, which was last game played at Three Rivers Stadium. He found Lambert, Greg Lloyd, Jack Hamm, among some other Steeler greats at a bar shooting the breeze and swapping stories. Wexell approached Lambert and asked for a quick interview, and Lambert said "sure, let me finish this one and Ill be right with you". After Lambert finished his beer, Greg Lloyd said "Hey Jack, why are you talking to this asshole, come on over here and hang out with us". Lambert said "You have no class Greg, now shut up while I give this interview". Wexell said Lloyd never said a word, lol. Two of the baddest men ever to play in the NFL, and Lambert scared one of 'em..

When they announced his name the announcer said "The opposition was so scared of Jack they named him COUNT DRACULA in pads because he drained the life force out of the opposition"
