Tiffany Marie Cantrell, 24, is charged with driving under the influence with minors. Cantrell was video-arraigned Thursday before Mingo County Magistrate Pam Newsome, who set her bond at $1,000. Unable to make bond, Cantrell remained incarcerated in the Southwestern Regional Jail at Holden.

Mingo County Sheriff's Deputies noticed Cantrell traveling in the northbound lane on US 52 toward Williamson.

According to the criminal complaint, Cantrell, who was driving a green Ford Mustang, was seen weaving into the southbound lane and crossing the double yellow line completely, then traveling back into the northbound lane.

Deputies E.L. Sherrill, B. Dotson and J.R. Endicott observed the Mustang for approximately 1 1/2 miles before initiating a traffic stop.

Once the traffic stop was performed and contact was made with Cantrell, the officers noticed that the defendant's speech was slurred and her eyes glassy. Upon exiting the vehicle, the officers noted that Cantrell had difficulty standing and kept swaying from side to side.

The officers also noticed two minors in the vehicle and learned they were 12 and 13-years-old respectively.

In addition, Cantrell also failed each of the administered field sobriety tests.

Unofficial sources said Cantrell serves as an assistant basketball coach for Belfry Middle School. A spokesperson at the school refused to confirm or deny stating "she didn't know anything about this."
