Amy McCoy is a really good player...i played with her last year when she played with BMS...Alex Howard is an ok player too!!!
#12
HOLLIE MCCARTY - East Ridge
BROOKE COLEMAN - Shelby Valley
AMY MCCOY - Belfry
#13
brooke Coleman will be good if she can just get some defensive game about her ...I seen her play last year and she wasn't really into hustling ....
* Also Carla Booth is an excellent player
#14
Booth girl is the best Freshman hands down, she is one of the top 10 players in the region in my opinion. All she needs is a little more height.
#15
I heard that she was doing really awsome through practice right now.Its gonna be hard to keep her out of the starting line up this year.Heard that through the "grapevine"-Brooke Coleman
#16
brooke coleman- shelby valley

It's hard to say who will emerge as the best Freshman in the 15th and who might be a sleeper.
These girls will have to make adjustments to the level of play on the high school level in the 15th region. It's a lot different than the level of play throughout middle school. Freshmen give up so much to Seniors in age, strength, experience.

That's usually very true, and it's a hard thing for people to understand. You're also right about the big difference between middle and high school. Not all, but most, kids have to go through an adjustment period. However, for those girls who play middle school and then play up at their high school in the same school year, the transition is much easier. Sometimes it's not the middle school "stars" who are the better high school players; it's those who work the hardest and make the adjustments.

Not saying this to be bias or anything but, Alexis Derossett from Prestonsburg is a great guard. She had playing time off the bench last year for the varsity and this year will more than likely get to start for Jack Pack's Lady Blackcats.

Hollie McCarty-- East Ridge

You've got to be kidding. She may be the biggest ball hog in the 15th region. If she starts, it will be total disaster for the P'burg team. Highly overrated.

Hollie McCarty (East Ridge)
#23
Brooke Coleman from Shelby Valley!!!
#24

Brooke Coleman??? Are you serious? No one has even heard of her.. And for the ones who have they've seen how she plays ..SHE DOESNT!!!!! Her defense is non existant and on the offensive end lets just say she's lucky.... If this kid would rebound and play defense then maybe she would be worthy of playing time ..

No matter how much she improves ... she still isnt the or will never be the best player in the region!!!!!!!!!

This isn't about being the best player in the region, it's about being the best freshmen, and Brooke is a good ball player, she played on the HS team last year in 8th grade, of course her game isn't going to be that polished that young. Give her some time to develop.
#29
yeah really she is only a freshamn and that was really rude..you could have said it nicer than that!!...and on the offensive end she isnt lucky she is just good and even if she was it is better to be lucky than not score at all!!...brooke is a good ball player is you think so or not

I have heard of the Coleman girl and she is a good ball player . . . she is not worried about being the best freshmen . . . she just wants to play ball and she wants the entire team to do a good job for Coach Rowe. Knowing Coach Rowe (as a defensive minded Coach) if Brooke or anyone elses defense doesn't meet his expectations they will enjoy time on the bench.
