The 1990 Leslie County boys team in Hyden had double figure scoring from all five starters. They were led by two senior guards in Terrill Wilson and Joey Caldwell. On January 17, 1990 Lloyd Collins for Clay County scored 21 points for a road win at Lincoln County. The Danville school Clay County played in first round of state beat this Lincoln County by 4 in district finals and by two points in region finals at the Lincoln County gym. Terry Gray, Lloyd Collins and David Blair were on the 87 & 88 Clay County teams that played in two state finals. Now as seniors they started in 1990 at state.
