Duke Lacrosse Players David Evans, Collin Finnerty and Reade Seligmann are seeking about $10 million each as well as changes in the state laws. If the state refuses, they will file civil rights charges.

They were mistreated. I'm not sure about how much money, but they should get something.

They got their name cleared in the media, granted an extra year of eligibility so it sounds like they didn't get the short stick after all. But a little pocket change to go on top of that makes it much sweeter.

They may have had their names cleared, but they were still dragged through the mud for a long time. I'm not sure if their names will ever be completly pristine again.
That said, they do deserve some compensation, but 10 million seems a little excessive...
