Close for a while, but Perry eventually wore them down and pulled ahead.
Jaz Johnson with a big first half, but only two in the second. He'll be special for Wolfe County in the future as they return everyone.
Dylan Chaney with a big game for the Commodores and Noah Caudill anchored things down low with 24 and 14.

Wolfe County improved a lot this year and with no seniors on the team, they should be a strong regional contender the next couple years. Especially if Jaz Johnson continues to get better, I agree he will be a special player for Wolfe, I think he is best returning player in region next year as a junior. Perry Central is a really good team, the Knott/Perry game Friday should determine the region champ this year.

Wolfe will for sure for be a tough out next year and will be the favorite in the 55th. Jaz is a really good player but I wouldnt say the best returning player in the region with players like Kobe Bowling, Wade Pelfry, Josh McGuire, and Joe Benton all returning next season.

Wolfe will be tough next season as they do not lose anyone to graduation...Jaz Johnson/junior (22ppg), Thompson/soph (16.6ppg), Wilgus Tolson/junior (15ppg), Peyton/junior (10.7ppg) & Brewer/senior (9ppg).

All good players and an argument can be made for any of them, but Josh McQuire has benefit of playing with really good guards and proven seniors, Wade has benefit of playing with experienced players and two of best rebounders and inside scorers in the region, Benton, Bowling and Johnson do not have those type of players around them and had to do more for their team. Regardless I think Johnson is the best overall player, thats my opinion, I have seen him play several times this year and he gets tot he rim better than anyone in the region as well as being a dangerous 3 point shooter and good defender. But again they are all really good players , I think McGuire and Caudill from PCC are best bigs this year, and McGuire best big next year, and Wade manages games well and leads a Hazard team that may end up in Rupp, the 14th region will be full of talent next few years at least.

Wolfe played a decent game, but Perry had too much size and depth. The Johnson kid is a very talented player. My guess is that he will be on the move next season to create a better chance of going to Rupp. In regards to Perry's upcoming game, I think Hoskins will have to utilize Williams more on Friday night against Knott. If they don't, then Knott is too strong inside. Caudill is playing very well this year, but will need help.

Not sure Johnson will need to move to have a better chance to win next season. Wolfe doesnât loose anyone next year and only a couple will be Srâs next year. Would has as much if not more young talent than anyone in the region. Anytime you return 5 kids that averaged double figures basically you have a chance to be really good. If Wolfe finds a defensive mindset this offseason they can beat anyone in the region.

That's crazy. No way Jaz transfers. Also I think Wolfe has a good shot at winning the region next year. They return basically all the peices they need. Real high on the Wolves going forward.

Wolfe will be tough next couple of years..tremendous guard play, Johnson is definitely one of the top players in the state, let alone Region in my opinion..The young guy, 6â4 7th grader they picked up, will help Wolfe with the inside game, although he is young, he is talented and has seen a lot of Varsity minutes on another team, Jackson City I believe..Wolfe will be favorite to win District next few years and will be able to contend at Region. I think, during post season, it all comes down to defense..can you keep that other team from scoring more points than you, not can we score more points than them..all about mindset in post season play
