Russell 47 Fleming County 7
#1
Final
#2
Congrats to Russell

Russell still appears to be focused and playing well. Time will tell if they have a letdown game where they lay an egg as they’ve had the tendency to do in the past couple of seasons. They need to stay dialed in and improving week to week.

Russell has really put it together after the horrible game at Ashland. Russell should have beaten Ironton and had many opportunities to beat Ironton if it wasn't for the turnovers that cost the Devils a TD and gave up a TD and a safety. Even the Greenup County game Russell came out and scored first at 7-0 and then intercepted a GC pass on next play and should have scored. It was only 14-7 at half and that is when GC in the 3rd quarter had 2 or 3 long TD passes to extend the lead. The only bad game was the Ashland beat down but after that Russell in there last 3 games have played great on both sides of the ball and has really came alive in these 3 games. They could have been 4-2 right now if it wasn't for the Ironton game. Russell should win there next 2 games at home with Lewis and Pendleton County before hitting the Road with tough matchups with Bath County and Raceland. If they continue to play this well and stay focused they should head into the Raceland game at 6-3 and undefeated in there district. The Bath County game will show us how much this Russell team has improved over these last 6 games. It will be an interesting to see the tough matchups with Bath County and Raceland both being on the Road.

Would you really call the Raceland game a road game?

Raceland game will be only telling of any improvement over course of season. Bath lost to West tonight, no way Bath beats Russell. The soft district has allowed Devils to work out kinks, get playing time to several kids, and develop some sort of offensive identity. They will need all that to just keep it close with the RAms.

Russell will roll 42-21. Weak secondary for Rams. Russell throws at will. When Rams are trying to cover Devils unleash their ground game. Rams will have no answer. TJ friendship with Salmons is the only thing preventing a running clock.
#9
That weak secondary gave up 16 yards thru the air to Somerset. Valley game was an outlier. Mighty dog is on crack!
#10
The only crack is in the Rams secondary. Russell will be smoking that crack all night.

You really need to take your blinders off.

Are you guys bringing in the steel curtain? Ill bet you they do score more than 14. Loser takes a self ban from this site for one year starting with the day after the game. Ill give you that night to say your goodbyes. Anyone else want a piece of this?

This 14 points. Will this be the varsity? Or will it be jv after weve absolutely crushed the evils and we have a running clock
#16
Someone start an old school loser leaves town thread for the Russell/ Raceland fans on this site for their game coming up. This could be the best on here in a long time. Let the fun begin.

It would be on the Varsety. And if you think there's going to be a running clock put on the Devils, then you're doubling down. A running clock and to be held under 14. You need to take those orange tinted shades off before you make yourself look even more foolish than you already have.
#18
If we can hold somerset to 80 yds of total offense i sure as hell think we can stop the evils from scoring 14
#19
We will take this up at the appropriate time and on the appropriate thread. Enjoy the rest of this bye week and next weeks bye before you get smacked for two consecutive weeks

Russell fans I have respect for your all’s program, but its ridiculous to think you can beat Raceland. This is the 2018 Russell team we are talking about, not the 2016 Nick Conley led team, not the teams from the early 2000’s. Raceland doesent put the running clock on them but wins by 28

Wow wasn't aware that Russell threw the ball at will and the rams we're playing so bad that there secondary was terrible giving such big passing yards to teams

Now you know. Russell can throw the ball anytime they want. They can throw it all over the field.
