5A Barren County (1-4) gets up early to travel to La Center to take on 2A Ballard Memorial (1-3) for a 3pm start on Saturday.
These teams didn't meet last season and this looks to be one of Barren County's pick up games after opting out with district foes Bowling Green and South Warren.
On paper this looks like a good matchup between two teams that have some struggles. The Bombers of Ballard Memorial love to live up the mascot with a prolific air attack, but giving the QB time has been a problem in their losses. The defense has been overpowered as well. Barren County can put air under the ball too, but not to the same degree. They will look to use their size advantage to pull out the road win. They've had the tougher schedule and are probably a mild favorite in this game, but the long drive could have an effect. If this is the matchup it seems to be there could be lots of points!!
