That will hurt them when they face the tougher competition.

Congrats Freddy D. I can't wait until their matchup with Scott County.

Meh

FD continues to roll! Congrats.

Freddie Douglas is the only public school in Fayette County putting forth an effort in football. Dunbar has a win over a win less McCreary County team. The remaining schools have 0 wins outside of each other. That is Zero. No wins on the road. None at home. Hard to imagine with their numbers and facilities. Come on administration buy into your kids.

They have taken all the other schools best players. Talking to a SW staff member Friday, he was saying that FD has 6 or 7 starters on their team who started at other schools last year! How is that legal?

Setting aside the obvious advantages of better facilities, more resources, a supportive administration, friends in high places at FCPS, and the influx of players from other Lexington schools as well as other parts of the state that are mysteriously cleared by the KHSAA ...they are out working all the other FCP Schools. They not only have a better coaching staff, they have a coaching staff that understands what motivates kids and that simply out works and runs circles around every other staff at Lexington public schools. It's time for all the other staffs to quit whining and making excuses and look at themselves in the mirror. Step up, work harder, work smarter, garner support from the administration, student body and parents, try to understand your players, don't alienate your players but instill confidence in them, self evaluate and continue to search for ways to improve individually and as a staff, etc, etc.

FD's D-line looks like an SEC D-line. Their size and get off is unreal for a high school team.

5A would be interesting if FD was in it this year.

100% agree. Most mountain coaches lack this understanding and that's why we only have a few schools in this area that have great programs. The only thing that is harder done than said is administration part. Not every admin is going to be supportive of their sports teams.

When you say taking what do you mean? Like showed up in a white van, kidnapped them all, hides them in the basement till practice and game days?

Lets just say they were "Persuaded" to come to FD. You mean to tell me that Lex Christian linemens, Lafayette linemens, Lafayette kid who stated sophomore and junior year and now at FD. A player that rents out an apartment nearby campus and goes home on the weekend????? C'mon

by putting forth an effort you mean cheating and recruiting across the state.

Taking, means to steal something. What have they stolen?

It takes an adult to enroll the kids into a school, any school.
