2A Owensboro Catholic (2-2) takes the 7 min stroll over to 5A Apollo (4-0) for an intercity battle.
Last year Apollo won 31-24 which was the first over the Aces since 2009. The Eagles overcame 5 turnovers and got a pick six for the difference in the score. Owensboro Catholic was in their 2nd game with a new QB at the time, after the starter left the team. Apollo held the Aces to -7 yards rushing on 15 attempts.
This year both teams return most of the major contributors from last season. The biggest questions being the defense of Owensboro Catholic and the replacement of go-to WR Peyton Peters (17 total TDs) for Apollo. Owensboro Catholic will look to continue to put points on the board with their air attack but may need to show some success in the running game. Apollo will be favored to control the LOS and pound the ground game while mixing in some passes. They also have a good experienced kicker. This appears to be a clash of styles and one of the most intriguing matchups of the week. Owensboro Catholic has played the tougher schedule with a very impressive win over Owensboro. Apollo has won against mediocre to weak competition with a puzzling close game against an improving McLean County. Expect anything in this one.

Apollo I think wins it but it could depend on if the early season Cath shows up or the Cath from recent. it will be a game MF fans will be watching closely

Hard to gauge O Cath. They beat a good Owensboro team, but lost badly to a Daviess County team that isn't as good as owensboro.
