Franklin County @ Boyle County 8/25

Thoughts and predictions.

They a reason why Boyle County was 2017 State Champ just another reminder to us all. :yikes:

Boyle County 56
Franklin County 07

Boyle Co - 58
Franklin Co - 12

In 2016 a week after Boyle Co pounded the Flyers in a JV game, FCHS stacked their roster with a few varsity players in the rematch....Boyle Co was 90% freshmen (minus a few that were varsity only). FCHS won a close rematch...payback time. 😎

Don’t worry FoSho they get this Friday night the Rebels in a romp

Boyle wins 63-7

IMO I don't see Boyle taking a L this year. Although I do have 2 victories over this Boyle group. I'm 2-1 against these dudes in my coaching career...lol
#7
Franklin had a good game against the best player in the state, but as a team Western Hills is horrible. Franklin is down this year. Their best player, Frank Turner left and their best RB is injured for the season. Gonna be a long year for Franklin.

I’ve Got to ask when? To the best of my knowledge this junior and senior class has maybe 1 or 2 losses since the 6th grade.

The only loss this group has EVER had together was Danville last season.

This is not true. I've been to every single game they've played since 4th grade. They only lost once when playing TOGETHER (Danville last season).

The only game I remember this junior class losing was the first game of the seventh grade season but some of them were playing up and didn’t play in the game it was against Anderson county so it’s hard to say that they lost since so many of them were playing up.

Yeah the junior and senior classes both went undefeated in Middle school. Now the sophomore class...well the freshman class was good too. Lol
#13
Smoke 1015 we’re waiting for you to tell us when you beat this team.

I agree, as 8th graders both classes were undefeated.

When they are together in the same team they have never lost. 7th grade doesn't count because there were several that didn't play B Team.

The ONLY game they've all been on the same team was last year.

That is true. my son has been there since 4th grade so I have seen them all as well.

So Smoke are you really Clay Clevenger? Claiming that you’re 2-1 against these Boyle junior and seniors if so you’re wrong you’re actually 1-0 against them that is playing them collectively as a starting unit.

Boyle by 30

Boyle 49 Franklin 7

Boyle County will roll.

The final score will be a bunch to a little. What I hope to see is when we get up early JV plays the 2nd half. I absolutely do not want to see a starter hurt late with Danville the following week.

Your ignorant it was the same team, minus a few of the original players! anyways 2 years ago JV! lol

Frank Turner best player, he was a freshman last year, and played one way.... great kid, but dude get off his jock! Boyle is a great team, Flyers will come and see what they got, but some of you guys are just silly!

No it wasn't the same team. I was there when our coach told the pressbox that FCHS asked if they could bring some kids that didn't play the week before and our coach was fine with it. There were several new faces.

It's fine. Just a point that makes us laugh at Boyle. I'm not worried......we'll get a chance to make things right this Saturday night. Lol

Yes that’s right, Frank would have been your best player this year. He was First team all state, 2nd leading Tackler, and a potential D1 kid. What world do you live in that he wouldn’t have been your best player? You have other D1 players? No. Fred, maybe one day but doesn’t he run like a 5.0 40? I don’t see what you are talking about. You know a few years ago we had about 5 soph's held out of a JV game with Lincoln County because we had a larger number of injury's early in the season than usual and those 5 were taking reps in practice with varsity "just in case". Boyle lost the JV game but Varsity might have needed those guys for a couple tough games and that's obviously what really mattered. We got through the big games and everyone healed well so when we played Lincoln again for the JV championship or whatever you want to call it at least 4 of the 5 and maybe all of them played in the second game. After Boyle went up a couple scores early all I heard the rest of the night was that starters had sent because they lost the other game. It might not have been a similar scenario with Franklin but I don't think it really matters.

Does it matter? I don't think any of us really think it matters....but to pretend like there wasn't something fishy going on and that it didn't matter to the kids at the time is ridiculous.

And it wasn't the same scenario. It was a team adding new varsity players a week later to play against a bunch of freshmen.

I just brought it up because its the first time they've played Franklin since and it'll be fun to see how the teams have improved.
