Bourbon County 26 Clay County 13
#1
Wasn’t at the game but sounded like the young tigers were the more physical team and led for most of the second half 13-12 going into the 4th quarter. Bourbon just proved to be to much in the final frame. Good showing for the young tigers. This game was played at Lincoln county. I

Go Colonels!

Tigers gave up a TD with 7 seconds to go in the first half that put them in a 12-0 hole, which they climbed out of during the second half. They are already better than last year, and seem to be headed in the right direction. Keep up the hard work, coaches and players, it is paying off.

Clay had momentum until a muffed punt return took the wind out of their sails that led to Bourbon regaining the lead in the 4th. Clay had MANY opportunities to tackle for a loss or minimal gain, but heads/eyes were down. Hard to tackle what you can't see. Defensive secondary is going to have to step it up. When it does...Clay will be a much better team. QB needs to be cool and stay in pocket a little longer before trying to rely on his legs. He has the arm and accuracy when he sets his feet. McCulley is a BULL on both sides of the ball! Coaches definitely have them pointed in right direction. Still missing some kids walking the halls at CCHS with a round ball in their hand. Everyone else seems to have those kids on their football roster...just sayin'.

Congrats, Colonels!

Great to hear that the Tigers are improving--they used to have some terrific teams.
