Thoughts and Predictions

My thoughts is Williamsburg gains nothing from playing Jellico. Jackets by as many as they want.

Williamsburg by 35. Jellico has had coaching problems in the off season.

Williamsburg brings the win back home

I'd much rather see Williamsburg playing Oneida if they're playing a team from Tennessee, but nothing terrible about playing Jellico. WHS is already playing Somerset, Paintsville, and Leslie County, so you don't want to overload the non-district schedule too much. It's a 10-minute trip that doesn't cost much every other year and the poor Blue Devils bring a decent crowd to watch their whipping when it's a Williamsburg home game.

Agree with all this. It will give Williamsburg the opportunity to play some younger kids and see what they can do on Friday nights.

Something tells me this game will be close for a half, and then a running clock second half. :Cheerlead Go Williamsburg

it's not like Williamsburg is a 6A power. They are similar in size to Jellico and Jellico has a new coach.

I think they should play Jellico and Oneida every year. You're right that they already have a pretty tough schedule out of district.

I never said they were a 6A power. I think we can all agree Williamsburg and Jellicos programs are on completely levels.

Williamsburg is young and down a little now, and I can still remember Jellico beating them a couple times in this century. lol

This Wburg team will put some points on the board this year but are they stout enough up the middle on Defense...

Will the new Jellico coach and the Wing-T offense make The Blue Devils more competitive this year against his alma mater ?

The Burg in a rout!

that coach is no longer there, that coach decided he liked retirement too much

I hadn't heard that. It's sad that they can't even keep a coach.
#19
now, they've hired the person that does their ROTC
#20
Jellico was on the right path with Buckner but have had several coaches since he left. They should just hire Ray Ray Salas.

They might as well since they want to continue their losing ways.

Jellico had a good coach in Buckner. I wonder where he went to Confusednicker:

I don't understand why Oneida ended that series. Both schools have similar traditions of good football and it's such an easy trip since 92 was upgraded. Figure it would be a great gate for both.

Along the same lines, it would make sense for Whitley County to play Campbell County since Campbell has built their program to a pretty decent level.

Williamsburg with an easy first game victory.

I completely agree that Williamsburg should play Oneida and Whitley County should play Campbell County. They could also add other East Tennessee teams to the schedule.
