Region 15 (Home) vs. Region 2 (Visitors).

Region 2 Semi-Finals.

5/30: 4:30pm - Trigg County (19-11) vs. Union County (18-20)
5/30: 7:00pm - Christian County (18-12) vs. Henderson County (21-10)

Just got home from the fields....

We would have had a better chance of playing water polo or having a swim meet rather than playing baseball. A cloudburst hit right before the Paintsville vs. Shelby Valley game started.

I'll update the schedule in post #1 when it becomes available.

Johnson Central and Paintsville advance to meet tomorrow in the regional final at 1. Paintsville was able to outlast Lawrence County but had to pitch both Tanner Smith and Mason Moore today so their pitching depth will be tested. Johnson Central should have both Kelly and Meade available.

I think announcer meant they hadnât been to the state tournament in baseball since 1990 which probably is correct.

Paintsville's first regional title since 2001.
Paintsville's first state tournament appearance since 1990. Before you say I'm wrong, Paintsville did play in the Sectionals vs. Boyd County in 2001, but that was not the actual state tournament. Only eight teams from across the state made it to the actual state tournament before the format was changed that all sixteen regions got to compete at the state tournament.

JC made way too many errors early in the game and Paintsville was able to capitalize and gets some runs.

Back then I believe only 4 teams made it to the state site. The sectional was a 4 team tournament. But I find it silly to say that JC has been to back to back state tournaments and Paintsville hasnât been since 1990 just because they changed the format.
