14th region 07-08
#1
I know its really early....but Hazard and JBS may not be the strongest teams in the 14th next year. With all the coaching issues and the loss of Justin Hicks, Cameron Bailey and Matt Williams, hazard has their work cut out for them. I have also heard talk about players leaving JBS, and if they do that will seriously affect their team.......so any predictions on top players and teams next season?

Stepp and Puckett will deff be the top two players in the region next yr imo but if all JBS players stay then they should be in good shape to repeat in the 14th but Buckhorn returns a lot and plus they got a few new faces that transfered, that should be a team to watch out for next season.

Should be an interesting year next year in the 14th as for the other surrounding regions as most of the teams lost alot of great players due to graduation or transferring.

With the new KHSAA rules about transferring, the JBS boys will all be back next year, I cant see these kids wanting to leave and have to sit out a year. JBS will be the team to beat once again.

New rules go in 2008-2009 season. Any kid that has a change of address can change schools and still play without setting out a year.

Daniel Kinser and Jeremy Banks will do great nex year leading a very young team. Christian Brewer will have to step up big next year.

i think powell county will suffer the most next season due to haveing all of the senior leadership gone, but i feel with the talent that they have, kinser, banks, brewer, and conley, with rice in their, with help from hawkins and crowe, powell should be in good shape, and i heard that some people will also play that will add help to powell. then hazard will be hurt a little but always seem to find a star on their roster to shoot up any gym. it should be a fun region next season.

JBS will be flat loaded next year if all the kids stay there. It is much harder for kids to transfer than it used to be and if the team they are leaving or another team in the region protests then it is a long process where some kids have to sit out most or part of the season. With this being said I think you will see all the kids back at JBS next year and they will be more mature and experienced.
Breathitt will also be good next year as well as Buckhorn. THere could be alot of other teams step up but only time will tell on some teams.

Will be wide open with JBS,Hazard, Breathitt in the top 3 and several others that could compete well.

I cant see this being wide open if all of JBS players return. They won this year and other teams lost alot of starting players and JBS didnt.

They were role players that came off the bench. I did not say that they were not important just that they didnt start or when they did just stayed in the game for a few minutes.
