Coach Haywood To Speak At Mountain Arts Center

PRESTONSBURG, Ky. — Kentucky’s winning-est high school football coach, Philip Haywood, will be speaking at the Mountain Arts Center in Prestonsburg.

Coach Haywood is currently the head football coach for Belfry High School.

According to coachphiliphaywood.com, he has been named the Louisville Courier-Journal overall Coach of the Year five times, and either Class AA or Class AAA Coach of the Year eight times. In 2013, he was voted USA Today’s Best High School Football Coach. He was inducted into the Kentucky Athletic Hall of Fame and National High School Coaches Association Hall of Fame in 2016.

Coach Haywood is involved with the John Maxwell Team, which is a collaboration of elite coaches, teachers, speakers and professionals, taking leadership training, talents and skills and adding value to people all over the world.

The Mountain Arts Center will host Coach Philip Haywood on Monday, April 9th at 7:30 p.m.

If by lower you mean smaller schools then yes, but he would be a great coach at any level.

Coach Haywood is one of the all time greats in high school football in America period!! The man is a class act and staple of why old school values and hard work will always prevail! His teams are nothing but class acts in victory or defeat truly a reflection of Mr. Haywood’s outstanding leadership and character!
