PIKEVILLE, Ky. -- For a second straight day, sixth-seeded Lindsey Wilson men's basketball upset a ranked opponent to advance in the Mid-South Conference Tournament.

After beating third-seeded Cumberlands (Ky.) on Friday, the Blue Raiders knocked off Georgetown (Ky.) 80-58 today to punch their ticket into the MSC Tournament finals. Lindsey Wilson faces fifth-seeded Campbellsville (Ky.) -- who upset top-seeded Pikeville (Ky.) today -- in the finals on Sunday.

Lindsey Wilson (23-8) was outstanding on both ends of the court on Saturday in the semifinal win. The Blue Raiders shot 51.9 percent (27-of-52) while holding Georgetown to its lowest point total of the season and 28.6 percent (16-of-56) shooting from the field.

Lindsey Wilson used a modest 7-0 run to break an 8-8 tie midway through the first half. The Blue Raiders achieved their first double-digit lead (21-10) as Kel Stotts hit a 3-pointer with 5:52 remaining in the opening half. Stotts finished with a game-high 19 points on 7-0f-12 shooting, including hitting three 3-point baskets.

Georgetown's Darion Burns opened the second half with a three to cut the deficit to eight only to have the Blue Raiders score eight of the next 10 to push the lead to 44-28 five minutes into the half. The Burns' basket was the last time the lead was single-digits in the game.

Can Oztamur -- who was one of five Blue Raiders to score double figures -- extended the lead to 52-32 with 13 minutes left in the game. Oztamur finished with 13 points off the Lindsey Wilson bench.

Georgetown scored the next seven points to cut the deficit to 13 with 10:48 left in regulation. The Tigers inched within 11 points twice with eight minutes remaining only to have Lindsey Wilson respond with a run of its own and put the game out of reach.

Bryan Wallace scored seven of his 13 points over the next four minutes to extend the Lindsey Wilson lead to 21 points (72-51). The Blue Raiders would lead by as many as 24 in the latter stages of the game before winning 80-58.

Nic Brown (12 points) and Charles Sutton (11) joined Stotts, Oztamur and Wallace in double figures for the Blue Raiders. Troy Steward scored a team-high 15 points for the Tigers.

Lindsey Wilson faces Campbellsville at 3:30 p.m. CT on Sunday in the championship game of the tournament. The winner receives the conference's automatic bid into the NAIA National Tournament which begins in two weeks.
