If this stands, Looks like Estill and Powell will be fighting for the 3 & 4 spot every year. This draft is crazy.
#3
Whoever did that draft had never seen a KY state atlas. That is horrible. Drive by some schools to play others. That has to be a 3rd grader doing this.

The best part about this (for me, anyways) is I get to bust Granny Bear's chops, cause we are district opponents. #NoMercyForGrannyBear

While not every district is perfect, I feel like overall they are pretty solid. There aren't a ton of teams that I am confused by their placement.

Again, it's not perfect, but I'm fine enough with these districts.
#6
I like seeing Rock and Bell playing again. this should be fun.

Ashland and Belfry in the same region...... somebody send me some Belfry gear when they play.

I am very surprised Oldham County would rather incur much higher travel expenses to Lexington and Richmond than traveling to eastern Jefferson County. I must admit Trinity in a three team district : "I didn't see that one coming." Trinity AD Rob Saxton will have his work cut out for him locating 7 opponents! Best of luck to former district foes Jeffersontown and Seneca in 2019 and beyond.

4A is going to be brutal.

The winner of 4A will be very well deserved.. hard to think of any team getting there by chance or luck. 4A winner will feel like Rocky after beating the Russian lol

Several Russians. 😜

4A will be a bear. Adding Boyle, Corbin and Central, definitely changes the overall makeup.

3A will be no cake walk. Adding Ashland Blazer, CAL, Mercer, DeSales and Rockcastle brings about some old rivalry's......and possibly introduces some new ones.

3A District 4 is gonna be interesting to say the least.

4 more years of Raceland and Paintsville playing for the regional title.

very surprising

Have heard that before putting Estill County in district 5, KHSAA was gonna put them in either district 4 with CAL, DeSales and those schools or District 8 with Belfry

I'll second the confusion on Oldham County playing in the eighth district.

Also odd, in my opinion, is St. X and Male's positions. Given St. X is further east, albeit not by a lot, shouldn't they be in the fourth and Male in the third?

However they chose to slice it, at least Louisville 6A is three districts again.

Think Garrard got hosed. Also very surprised Boyle not in District with Lincoln.

Dont get me wrong, highlands has sucked for years now, but it is absoloutly atrocious that the khsaa and public schools allow them to do whatever in the hell they feel like doing. This is a school wit 3A or low 4A numbers and could be placed in several short districts.
It is absurd.

MAKE EVERYBODY PLAY IN THE CLASS THEYRE SUPPOSED TO. FLIP JOHNSON CENTRAL AND HIGHLANDS.

As for region 4, which is district 7 and 8, they will get absoloutly slaughtered in the semis every year. No doubt about it unless they get lucky every once in a while. District 6 will be tough.
#21
5A district 8 will never be the same.
Much funner playing perry, harlan, and letcher every year.
Going west sucks
#22
4A Harlan County , Perry County and Letcher were crazy for not playing up. Just look at what was mention and no one even brought them in the conversation. 4A is very tough.
#23
Beechwood has the easiest road to the finals in the history of football in all 50 states.

You are correct. I hadn't really noticed this until I read your post. :cake:

I was looking at Rock's new district in 3A and was wondering if you could even drive from Stanton (Powell County) to Pineville (Bell County). It turns out you can and it is only 2 hours 22 minutes(108 miles) taking KY 11 most of the way.:Shaking:
Going that way saves 2 minutes 26 miles versus going down I-75.

Harlan County will play Clay, Perry and Letcher in this district every year instead of Whitley, North and South.
#27
Worth driving the extra 2 minutes between Stanton and Pineville to save on puke bags.

HCS Wrote:Harlan County will play Clay, Perry and Letcher in this district every year instead of Whitley, North and South.

I think this will be a good competitive district by the time it rolls around. Clay and Perry are trending up and I am sure LCC will be improved as well.

Beechwood vs Mayfield or District 4 winner. Otherwise 2A became much softer with the loss of CAL , Desales and Glasgow. Moving district 4 teams to the west really opened the door for Beechwood.
#30
HCS Wrote:Harlan County will play Clay, Perry and Letcher in this district every year instead of Whitley, North and South.

Actually we at HC never played Souty in District.
Lost North and Whitley and gained Clay and Johnson Central.
Lost the Pulaski’s in region and gained Corbin and Boyle
