Thoughts and predictions?

Powell returns most of their team including their two big 1-2 punches in Brooks (QB) and Skidmore. I fully expect them to win district again. Could probably make some noise in the post season as well.

Who knows, may run the table in the regular season?

Have to be better defensively. That offense was good last year

They return Trent as well who I believe was the 2nd leading scorer on the team.

Last season I predicted they would start 0-4 (3 tough road games and a tough home game) and finish 6-0, sweeping the district, and winning a playoff game. They did exactly that but won 2 playoff games. In 2018, if the schedule flips, they will start with 3 tough home games (Garrard Co, West Carter, Lawrence Co) and a tough road game (@Bath Co). Garrard Co loses alot of their production from 2017, but the other 3 return as much as Powell. I see a 2-2 start. From there it's game on thru the rest of the season finishing out 6-0 (8-2 overall) and winning the district and a home playoff games. From there I see Bell Co coming to Stanton in round 2 and Dudley's teams are always tough in the playoffs.

Final answer - 9-3 overall. District title. Regional semifinalist.
