Favorites?
#3
Obviously Barrett is the favorite. They have won it the last 2 years and this year shouldn't be any different
#4
Barret is the best team in this tourney and North Pulaski is next.

I wish Boyle Co was playing in it but they elected to not play because several are playing up to JV/Frosh ball. They would have made a nice run.
#5
Was looking at the championship brackets and noticed that a couple of teams that get a bye then get to play the winner of two #2 seeds in the next round when most other teams will be playing a #1 seed. Seems like if you are lucky enough to get a bye you shouldn't also get the advantage of playing against a # 2 seed instead of a #1 seed in the next round.

Barret 3-PEAT KBA Middle School Champions!!!!!

Congratulation to Coach Edelen and the Barrett Hilltoppers for their 8th Grade Middle School State Championship run this past weekend. They become the third school to complete the mythical 3-peat (first team from Louisville) by winning 6th Grade in 2016, 7th Grade in 2017, and 8th Grade 2018 as they beat Robert Campbell (Clark County) in a hard fought victory 51-45. The other two teams to accomplish this mythical 3-peat were Southern Pulaski, which did it twice (2011-2013 and 2012-2014) and Northern Pulaski (2014-2016).

Robert Campbell played Barret tough throughout the game evident by the quarter scores of 14-9, 25-22, 40-31, and final of 51-45, but Barret’s inside presence and clutch free-throw shooting down the stretch proved a little too much. Barret was led by floor general Edelen with scoring Brown 16, Franklin 11, Tilford 8, Vrabonic 8, Buford 5, Edelen 3. Robert Campbell was led by Morton and Mundy with 16 apiece, Howe 4, Hernandez 4, Harrison 3, Huff 2.

Many thanks to all you participated and made this the biggest tournament yet.

Final scores are posted at http://playkba.com/Schedules.aspx and all tournament teams will be announced later this week.

Thanks Again!!!
