I'm not a person who usually start these rating threads but I was wanting to see what everyone thought about the top teams and players going into next season now that the 15th regional tournament is over...thanks

I would also add Jacob Bryant from Valley in there, IMO hes a great player and will show alot of senior leadership next season. And what is Phelps getting back next season?

Definitely Jacob Bryant. Without him, Valley will have big problems offensively. He doesn't get much credit, but he is an invaluable part of this team and is dominant on the inside.

Couldn't agree more wildcat. He is the the cats go to guy no matter what!!!

I agree on J. Bryant. Charlie Hunt is listed from Phelps and that sounds good.

What about Alex Hammonds of Allen Central or Jordan Hall of Prestonsburg?

Actually, Im not surprised this hasnt been brought up yet, but I heard from a pretty good source that Jordan Hall might be going to Allen Central next year. Although I am not for certain this is true or not, it is considered a rumor as of now. For Alex Hammonds he is going to have to show the most leadership out of anyone in the 15th IMO, because Allen Central is losing alot and the majority of their scoring. But I know Alex very well, hes a great kid and will provide for the Running Rebs next season.

JordanHall will not go to AC!

Looks like a pretty good list but I would have Jacob Bryant on there in place of Logan. Might even swap rankings between him and Ashley Hatfield (I realize Hatfield has enormous potential, but I think Jacob B. will have a stellar senior year).

Like I said, just a rumor so its not at all true but this is what I have heard.

I thought about Jacob Bryant but I figured 4 for Valley and 3 for Paintsville thats 7 of the top 10 from two schools. He probabily is top 10 though, my fault on that. I also like The Prater boy at AC but not sure he's top 10 quiet yet.

I like Hammonds game alot like I mentioned previously earlier this month. I figured If I threw Hammonds and Hall in there(which I was tempted to do) I'd have to replace one that I had listed and I just have no clue that would be. I even left of Tyler Hamilton-Pike Central and I had him on my list last year. The Region will be more deep next season with more good players...imo:Thumbs:

anyone want to post their list??

I really don't know players but here is my pick for the teams
Teams:
1.Shelby Valley
2.Painsville
3.Pikeville
4.Allen Central
5.Phelps
#13
Matt Clevinger and Jordan Bell have made strong bids for mention here

As far as teams next year, I am going to get bashed for this. My list would be like this:

1. Shelby Valley
2. Pikeville
3. Allen Central
4. Paintsville
It's not the size of the dog in the fight. It is the size of the fight in the dog.

I dont know why I put Allen Central in there, they lost to much this year.

For now, I am just gonna go three with Shelby Valley, Pikeville, then Paintsville.

I just can't believe you forgot about Dustin May from Belfry. Without a doubt the best post player in the region this year and next year.

RUMORS RUMORS RUMORS.

Isn't Jordan dating someone from AC? That's probably why the rumor got started. I like Jordan, he's a fine athlete- but I don't see him moving schools. I'm sure before it's all said and done there will be many rumors about players moving schools. Every year we hear about Landon leaving BMR and Paintsville. When I see Jordan or anyone else sporting a Runnin' Rebel uniform- I'll be a believer.
#18
STATS, you are right about Hammonds- he will definitely have to step up and be a leader for AC next season. With the loss of 5 Seniors (3 starters) AC will have their work cut out for them.
#19
Pike Central and Belfry will both be better than Phelps next year.

Yes he is dating someone from AC, I have talked to her and several other people and this is what that have said that he will be there. But I am like you gotcha when I see him in the Reb and Blue I will believe it.

I'd hate to see Jordan lose his Senior year of eligibility by transferring schools. If he is truly considering a transfer- I hope he and his family check things out very carefully before making a change that could cost him his last year.
#22
1. Landon Slone
2. Jacob Bryant
3. Elisha Justice

Thats my top three I think after that it is really close across the region but I would say that Ashley Hatlfield and Logan Bryant will both be in the top ten as well.
#23
I will also say that I feel Logan Bryant will be the best shooting guard in the region. He has a great work ethic, quickness, and good shot. He has always been a primary ball handler, and with Elisha at point he is making the transition to being a scorer. They will be an even more deadly combo next season.
#24
It's hard to make a top player list like this without feeling like someone else should be on it. At least everyone seems to agree that SV is the early favorite among the teams...

8.Justin Murray-Johson Central

Jordan Bell isn't tall enough or good enough to be a top 10 player sorry to break your heart. He has desire and that's great and all but he just isn't good enough to be a top player.

Top 10 Players:
1) Landon Slone
2) Elija Justice
3) J.D. Vanhoose
4) Jacob Bryant
5) Ashley Hatfield
6) Matt Clevinger
7) Shane Grimm
8) Dustin May
9) Justin Murray
10) Ian Welch

Bell might not be tall enough or good enough, but I think he had the best tourney play in the regions this year.

You would honestly have given Bell the MVP award over Elisha? LOL!!
#29
If Pikeville would have won, then yes, I believe he would have won it. The MVP comes off the championship team 95% of the time. He did have better stats than Elisha.

Stats are not what matters, he was the MOST VALUABLE PLAYER...he plays the best defense in the region, goes after every loose ball, you can't tell me that when they played against each other Bell was the better player, Bell and Harmon went to Pikeville cause the knew they wouldn't play at Valley, Bell can not make a case for MVP.
