A steal by Darion Burns with 2:27 left led to a Quan Poindexter basket, pulling No. 1 Georgetown College to one. However, Life University held off the Tigers, winning 82-77. This is GC's first loss, having its best start ever under coach Chris Briggs. The Running Eagles improve to 12-5 and 1-1 in Mid-South Conference play.

Georgetown is back in action hosting University of the Cumberlands 4 pm Saturday.
