How It Happened:
Boston College suffered its most lopsided defeat of the season, falling 96-66 at #20/18 North Carolina on Tuesday night.

The Eagles connected on their first two 3-pointers of the game and led 6-2. But UNC scored 10 unanswered points en route to a 16-1 run, taking control with an 18-7 lead with 12:06 left in the first half. BC would counter and cut it to six (18-12) before an 15-5 Tar Heel push made it a 16-point advantage for the home team (33-17). Carolina led 50-35 at the break.

BC would cut it to single digits, scoring the first seven points of the second half. A 3-pointer from Jordan Chatman made it 50-42 with 18:45 to go. The Eagles connected on their first six field goal attempts and 7-of-9 in the second frame.

A Jerome Robinson jumper kept it an eight-point game, at 59-51 with 16:25 left in regulation. But Carolina would break it open with an 18-2 run over the next 5:12, taking a 77-53 lead with 11:43 left. BC did not make a field goal for the final 6:37 of the game, missing its last 10 attempts from the floor.

Inside the Box Score
Ky Bowman led Boston College with 21 points. The sophomore guard made 8-of-18 shots from the floor (4-12 3FG) to go along with four rebounds and five assists.
Jerome Robinson scored 15 points. The junior guard was 6-of-13 from the floor, but made 3-of-6 from beyond the arc. The Raleigh, N.C. native dished out three assists.
Steffon Mitchell tallied his second double-double of the season, with 11 points and 10 rebounds. It is the freshman's fourth game with 10 or more boards. He also had two assists and two blocked shots.
Jordan Chatman added 11 points, knocking down three 3-pointers to go along with two assists.
For the game, BC connected on 38.7% (24-62) from the floor - including 12-33 from the perimeter. BC made 6-of-13 from the foul line.
The 96 points for Carolina were the most yielded by Boston College this season and the most since giving up 104 at Florida State on Feb. 20, 2017.
Notables
Jerome Robinson is now averaging 24.2 points per game in ACC play.
It marked the 11th straight win for the Tar Heels over the Eagles, dating back to the 2010-11 season.
Boston College falls to 1-4 in true road games this season.
Stat of the Game
5 - Boston College tied its season-low in turnovers, with five. The Eagles committed just five turnovers earlier this season against Sacred Heart on Nov. 14.
