Everyone should say thanks to Justin Hicks, it is not everyday the mountains get to watch a talented player. As you grow older you realize hard working, awesome players don't come along very often. Just a friendly thanks to a young man that demonstrated hardwork, class, heart, team, and willing to play team ball with a lack of talent around him.

he was a great player

He was a great player....but you all cannot forget about Matt Williams who had to overcome an injury that didnt allow him to play in the district tourny. For both to play and get beat out of state by a huge rival team your senior year, and do it with class says a lot. BOTH of the boys are hard working good boys,, and I doubt we've seen the last of either of them.

Justin Hicks and Matt williams are probably the most hard working boys in every field they pursue, or according to me they are. They've served their purpose at Hazard High and now i wish them luck with whatever they may decide to do in their future.

Thanks for the memories Justin, you're one of the best guards to ever play in this region. Not only a good bb player, but a great person. I wish you nothing but the best.

What can I say about Justin Hicks? The kid is AWESOME!! You can tell by watching him that he loves basketball and win or lose he's just glad to be on the court. He's a class act.
It has been an honor and a pleasure to watch him play the past few years and he has given his all for the Bulldogs. I think that is why this was such a hard loss for the Dawgs and the Bulldog faithful. We were all hoping that since this is Justin's last year that he could play at Rupp one more time. Justin lost more than any of us last night and he accepted it with class and dignity. We could all take lessons from this young man. I wish him the best in whatever he decides to do...no one deserves it more than he does. I know Justin would be the first to say that he is part of a team so I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate the other Seniors.. Cameron, Matt and Scoop...and to the 2 Senior Managers Jared and Shane...Best of Luck to all of you. Just remember that no matter where you go or what you do, you will ALWAYS be Bulldogs. We're going to miss you guys and thanks for all the memories!!

Hicks is a player and I really think a player as gutty as he is could play at UK. I think he could do as good if not better as Patrick Sparks or Travis Ford IMO! He is a player and I have enjoyed catching the couple of games that I have been lucky enough to see him play!

Justin Hicks played with dedication, determination, and heart. It didn't matter if he walked on he court with illness, fatigue, or injury, he was always will to push himself 110% for his team. He has been a true pleasure to watch. He is also a considerate and caring individual and always left everything that happened in the game on the floor without blaming anyone. Somehow Matt always knew when Justin's pass was coming, they complimented each other well. So, Best of Luck to all the Bulldog seniors as you go into your future...
Justin, Matt, Cameron, and Scoop!!

Some of the schools that I've heard that are interested in Hicks are Eastern, Morehead, LMU, Pikeville and Centre. I think he could do well at any of those schools and wish him the best.

He has Berea, Morehead, Centre as one of the few schools he has a choice to go to.
