1. Knox Central - No doubt now, the road to Lex runs through Barbourville
2. Harlan County - Better then I thought, well coached, real contendor
3. Corbin - one man band
4. South Laurel - just a tad behind the 2 above them
5. Clay County - nearly downed the hounds
6. North Laurel - too many flaws
7. Jackson County - they have a chance to move up
8. Bell County - way better then people thought
9. Whitley County - beat Lynn Camp, should have beaten Jackson
10. Lynn Camp - play a real schedule then you might move up
2. Harlan County - Better then I thought, well coached, real contendor
3. Corbin - one man band
4. South Laurel - just a tad behind the 2 above them

Your rankings look good to me. I think most people will agree that Knox Central, Harlan County, Corbin, & South Laurel have separated themselves as the top 4. The interesting thing to me is how the 49th district shakes out. Clay, Jackson, and North Laurel are all about even in my opinion. District seeding will be huge because whoever ends up with the 2 and 3 seeds will have a dog fight in the first round of district.

If you saw Harlan County and North play, you'd know there is very little difference between a "real contender" and a team with "too many flaws." I'd have to put North ahead of Clay for the body of work so far this year and there is very little difference between 3 and 5. I'd still put Corbin second.

I agree there will be some great 2-3 games.
After watching HCHS, South and North play, I'd have a hard time saying there is a top four when it looks much more like a top five to me.

Yeah, you're probably correct. I should've said a top 5 had emerged instead of 4. North Laurel has done a really impressive job this year after losing the talent they did last year.
