Iâll make a bet now. Danville gets clocked. Seen both teams play.
Danville playoff run to Lexington was a lot easier then Mayfields Iâll tell you that.
Itâs supposed to be a good game, but Iâm here to tell you Mayfield will put a running clock on Danville.

What a war! Just so proud of this MF bunch. They couldn't catch a break all night. So many chances for them to lay down, but they refused. They did what MF does, just kept scratching and clawing and fighting. I know 'who wants it more' is cliche and over-used, but that's exactly what I saw out there. Just a bunch of tough as nail kids that wouldn't be denied.
Credit to CAL. Great team, great kids, well coached, and tons and tons of talent. No shame in this loss at all.

what a great game, 2 heavy weights, and both teams were laying the wood on each other. CAL has a very good, hard hitting, well coached team, that was a really good team we just beat. We contained wright, an awesome athlete, all night, hes scarey good when he touches the ball. I think this is one of the biggest wins outside a state championship in our history.

Great game tonight! Cards hit them in the mouth and never turned away. D line played lights out tonight.
Cardinals hung over 200 yds rushing on CALS defense. That says something right there. We are right where we want and need to be. After wondering what this season was going to bring I must say I am very proud of this team and the fight and effort they give every week.
Was surprised to see Wright have very little touches on the offensive side of the ball. I do know our dbâs kept him in check all game. Good hard hitting game as well.

I heard tonight that Wright is the #12 recruit in the nation. He is a great player. However, I don't get this. By that, I mean how they rank these kids. Because in 2009, I remember watching a faster, more shifty, as tall reciever wearing red and black that wasn't ranked that high. He did have Memphis wanting him but not any bigger than that, at least as far as I know.

Glad I attended this one. Congrats Mayfield. I really like what Guthrie adds to the offense when in at qb.

12 is a few hundred spots too high, but he will definitely be at a big name school.
