The Cards used 393 yards of offense on just 35 plays to offset a season high five turnovers, in a 43-0 opening round rout. Senior running back German Ruiz led a ground attack that netted 285 yards on 26 carries with 12 attempts for a game high 109 yards which included scoring runs of 2, 1 and 16 yards. Lorenzo Linsey rushed for a TD and connected on 5 of 9 passes for 108 yards and another score, as this one wasn't pretty, but was never in doubt.
Valley used 50 plays for 85 yards of offense with 6 first downs.
Up next for Wayne is a rematch with Rockcastle County, while the Vikings season ends at 3-8. Cards have much work to do, but I just bet that's the way Coach Thompson likes it. #GoCards

Turnover bug has been in the Lake Cumberland water recently.
If there is a silver lining the defense has stepped up when the offense has given the the other team a free one, or 5.
The offense doesn't seem to rattled either and fights back from the adversity they created.
Cardinals will have to win the TO battle to get Kroger Field.
Last night was a reminder of the great support our WC program gets from fans.
