Joe Chirico. He's young but has a lot of experience, and kids really buy into him. He gets the most out of his players, and creates a brand wherever he goes.

All the legends of the mountains are too close to retiring and will have little desire to build. This is about hiring a new coach, not just for one game or one season.

Just how old is Coach Haywood? He has been head coach at Belfry for as long as I can remember, and I’m getting some mileage on me now. Does he still teach, or is he retired from that and just coaching?

No definite coach in waiting, but a favorite for the job would be a current staff member IMO. I believe coach is 64 if I am not mistaken and this is his 34th year at Belfry. His record at Belfry is 354-99.
