If Valley doesnt play any better against Belfry than they did Betsy Lane, it is going to be a long night for the Wildcats... I take Belfry by 6+

Should be a dandy. I don't see either teams comin out with a double digit victory. I'm gonna go with Belfry by 2...

No, I didnt see them play tonight but i have seen them play this year and i do think they'll get it back together and play better against Belfry but Belfry is a very good team and beat a good team in Paintsville last night so it should be a good game

Belfry close. Valley is probably more talented but Belfry is very physical and handles the ball strong - a big part of Valley's D is backtips and slapping the ball out of ppls hands, etc.

Belfry seems to be playing pretty good lately while Shelby Valley had a rough game tonight. I'll still take Shelby Valley in this one in a close game. I don't think they'll overlook Belfry like they did Betsy Layne tonight.
This thread reminds me a lot of last season when nobody was giving Shelby Valley a chance against Belfry.
Hard to believe a 27-3 team that's undefeated in the region appears to be the underdog to most in this game. Either way I'll take them in this one.

I wouldnt call them the underdog by anymeans, I would say they are the favorite to win, but from what i saw tonight, I think Belfry should beat them...

According to the early poll numbers they are extreme underdogs.

I honestly don't know what SV will have to do to win. I've never seen Belfry play so somebody else will have to tackle this one. Hopefully I can make it to this game though. Should be a great one.

I think Shelby Valley comes out with the win. The Betsy Layne game should've woke 'em up. Belfry gives alot of hart in there games and has everything to play for, not that SV dosn't but there much younger and don't have too many seniors if any. Should be a barn burner.

I will tell you this much, IMO Valley will come ready to play, as will Belfry, this will be one of the best games to be played in this region, in a long time... It is hard for any team to beat another team 3 times in a row... valley has good speed in there guards, but so does Belfry, Belfry has the big size advantage, maybe not hight wise but in physical strength, I dont see anyone on the team that matches up well with Case or May, both are very physical players... Belfry has to stop Valley on the sideline an back door, Belfry is natorious for leaving the back door open all night long, I saw Valley use this play several times tonight... I just think they are to much Case an May for Valley to deal with, I take belfry by 6 or more... I just hope both teams can come away injury free... Valley is going to be a state contender in 2 or 3 years, you can bet on that....

This will definitely be a great game to watch!
I'm rootin' for the Pirates in this one!
But nonetheless, good luck to both teams!

Wow! This game should be a barnburner to say the least. Shelby Valley is obviously the slight favorite even though it sounds like they barely escaped at win against Betsy Layne tonight. However, BELFRY is playing their best ball right now. It honestly could go either way, but I believe that no one will be able to stop Jamie Case and Dustin May. Not to take anything away from Valley because they are one heck of a team. But I dont think this is their year, although they will probably own it the next 3 years.. BELFRY by 6+

actually, SV has three seniors: Kyle Goodson, Toby Wright, and Jeremy Jackson. Jeremy and Toby have been playing at SV all four years... and they want this just as bad as anyone else does. plus, some of the freshmen on the team have more heart than any players I've ever witnessed.
i say sv wins by 3.

This one will be a dandy, I'm taking valley 60-54!! Hopefully, they got their bad game out of the way in the opener. Belfry is possibly the hottest team in the mountains. Valley better not have any more (mental mistakes) because the pirates can make you pay for those. Good luck to both teams!
