Word around the county he had a good summer ball and will be the key to FC this fall I look for him to come out strong this fall with the drill drive and the 3 he did both this summer he will be exciting to watch!

I've watched trey James get ate alive many times by FC's Brady Conn. Fc should have the #1 PG and #1 center in the region

James has improved tremendously over the summer. Guess will just have to wait and see in the regular season.

Jr TACKETT from Floyd central player of the year and Floyd central wins 15th region in the 1st year of existence.

Battaile is the best at this point.
Too early to decide on how things could shake out
A few players could win player of the year

After watching summer games I'm going with the Tackett kid from FC he looked great this summer and I'm sure he has only got better since then

Jake Collins from FC will make some noise this year! I haven't seen anyone that can stop him yet. He is a super quick slasher that can drive past anyone and shoot the lights out. He has some quick hands on defense as well. We can't leave him out of this conversation.
09-20-2017, 06:53 PM
Collins was out all summer he has a lot of catching up to do I admit good player but a lot of players worked hard and improved this summer
09-20-2017, 10:53 PM
Floyd Central will have 5 of the top 10 players this season. If the nelson and mills kids were still at AC they'd be in this convo.
09-20-2017, 11:12 PM
Going to be interesting to see who worked during the offseason to get better.

He was out all summer but he has still played more ball than most. As soon as that thumb allowed him he started playing pick up games. If he works hard from here on out the sky is the limit for him. I saw him throw one down just the other day pretty easy.

So many "homers" on this thread. Tackett & Battaile are the top 2 as of now, and others have a lot to prove until people consider them a top player in the region. Saying 8th graders are easily in the top 5, that Collins at FC can't be stopped by anyone, James being a beast this year, etc. seems a little extreme at this point.
09-22-2017, 05:55 PM
Totally agree Motley and watching someone play dirt court is totally different that a actual game you pick up bad habits that you can't get away with in a real official game and I would say Tackett has the most heart than any player I've watch a very competitive player he would be my pick
09-25-2017, 05:47 AM
Who's playing dirt court?
09-25-2017, 05:13 PM
Just a figure of speech Jason spriggs and further more that must be where you saw your favorite throw one down at pick up games are not like a real game where you don't get away with walks and fouls
09-25-2017, 10:09 PM
Actually I saw him throw several down at various locations none of which were on dirt courts. I never said he was my favorite because I have all kinds of favorites but I will say Jake is one of the most underrated players in the 15th. He's just as good as any name I've seen mentioned on here and I'm sure he'd be willing to back that up anytime anywhere dirt courts, call your own fouls or on the hardwood with khsaa officials it don't really matter.
