Estill County has as outstanding record against district and regional foes since joining the 14th. Really curious if anyone has a better win percentage than Estill does against region teams. Maybe not the best overall win percentage, because Estill plays teams like Madison Central, Clark County, most Lexington Schools and Bourbon County. I'm talking best win percentage in 14th region play since Estill joined the region. Anyone?

PCC was 12-0 vs. region opponents this year, Estill County 11-3.

56th District is weak compared to the 54th and 55th, hasn't had a team advance to the boys regional finals since 2003. Beating up on Owsley and Lee five times a year helps the win percentage out.

I apologize. Thought this was in the boys basketball forum. Estill County is always one of the top teams in the 14th region in baseball and softball. They've had three different coaches take teams to the regional finals, with coach Wood winning back-to-back titles in 2008-2009. They will be a contender again this spring.

Powell, Estill, Hazard, PCC, KCC, and LCC have been the most consistent teams since 2006.

Yes, they are always a region contender. They have won it twice, and been the the region title game twice more. 2009 being the most impressive season. They had to go into Hazard to play the region tournament and because of rain outs, had to play 2 games on the same day (semi-finals and finals). And if I am not mistaken, it was Perry in the semis that Estill beat (mercy rule I believe) and then had to turn around and play Hazard on their home field for the Championship giving them back to back region titles.
