i thought it went well, both defenses played well, and then the colts offense just had more in them then the bears did.

Can you say it was WET WET WET outside! Monkey is off the back for Manning and well deserved! Congrats Colts!!!!

I think the Bears went away from what got them there in the season and the game. Thomas Jones would carry them all over the field and then they would trust in Grossman and well, you know the outcome!

Congrats Indy and Im glad that Peyton finally got it, as are alot of people. Grossman sucks!

If it's not the Bengals then he doesn't want to give any credit where it's due. Congrats to both teams, Dungy, Manning, and the rest of the Colts organization for a hard fought game.

I really thought this was an exciting Super Bowl. Some parts got pretty boring though, but Rex Grossman is no where near being a Super Bowl caliber QB. Congrats Colts!

Mostly because Grossman sucked and the game seemed kind of boring for the most part. I don't know, just didn't seem like the Bears or the Colts had Super Bowl caliber teams

The Bears didn't to me, but I think the Colts were a good Super Bowl team. I thought it was a good game myself.

Why was it even necessary to make that comment? Did any of my posts even mention anything about the Bengals??
Switching topics from that stupid comment.............
Why didn't the Bears keep running the ball down the Colts throat? Benson got hurt, but Thomas Jones was averaging 7.5 yards per carry, and they only give him the ball 15 times!!!!!!! Indy did have a very good day running the ball, and with how well their D played, it would have been very tough for anyone to beat them.
Rex choked again......... sad

Grossman is offically the worst QB in Super bowl History.
02-05-2007, 01:45 AM
I think Grossman will do better with a little more expierience.

Yeah, that's it....... you're like a few other posters on here...... I do love the Bengals, but all of you use that as a reason that none of my posts can have any merit instead of looking at them objectively......... reminds me of 8th grade.
warrior pride agreed with me and so did alfus (halfway)........ I guess they don't think that anyone besides the Bengals deserve any credit either....... right....... tell alfus he's loves the Bengals, he'll probly fight you if you do

I called the Colts winning it when everyone else wasn't. I stated that this is the year of the Colts because nobody is talking about them and they went out and proved everyone wrong! I think the O-Line deserved the MVP(or Jeff Saturday) because they DOMINATED in all aspects of this game! Look at the total plays and yards compared to the Bears!

i thought it was a fun superbowl, partly because of the rain. Although both teams held onto the ball like high school teams..I felt bad for Chicagos defense. The MVP for the Colts should have been Grossman....Just like O'Donnell should have been Dallas' MVP in SB XXX...however, the Bears D just got put in so many holes that they were never really given a chance. Jones played a good game for the most part, but those 3 and 4 yard runs didnt count for anything when Grossman would fumble the snap and lose 12 yards, or throw the ball in quadruple coverage all game. Just a terrible game offensively for Bears. The Colts offense looked good, but anybody can rack up a ton of yards when your on the field for 200 plays...congrats to both teams though. I like both teams and both coaches, and Im glad Dungy (ex-Steeler, lol) got his ring.

LOL...is that supposed to scare me??? Well it didn't, I just remember all during the season when people would talk about your team that you'd take up for them even if you were wrong. I mean I like the Bengals too, but they are way too inconsistant to play in the Super Bowl. These two teams showed that they should be playing in Miami, I will agree that the halftime show wasn't what I was interested in...but the game was played because the two teams proved they were the best in their respective conferences. Cut them some slack.

Yeah same here, Fritz will always find something negative about the subject.

I was just stating that if the Bengals were in the Super Bowl you would probably be singing a different tune about the game, and I do agree with you.....Rex choked.

Bears had a solid defense, but the offense was horrible and undeserving of a Super Bowl birth, and Rex choked horribly........ and no it wasn't supposed to scare you, it was pointing out how stupid it was to call my comment stupid when two other people agreed with me, and one of those people hates the Bengals with a passion.

Well I actually didn't call your post stupid, but it was...I was holding that in. I just said you need to give the two teams credit that played in the game instead of complaining is all. The Bears won their division and then eventually won their conference...that's why they played last night. The NFL can't pick who played in the games and that is to be settled on the field, which it was. If the NFC wasn't good enough to play in the Super Bowl (which I knew who came out of the AFC would win the game since the NFC is down and has been down for several years) start a petition or something to get the NFL to use power ratings for the playoffs or something similiar to the BCS which would take away from the game.

Now you're just talking crazy....... Alls I'm saying is neither team played like they deserved to be there, they let the public down...... too many fumbles (mostly unforced), too many interceptions, too many stupid mistakes. You can say defense wins championships, which it does, but this was more of the offenses playing horrible and making mistakes than it was the defenses taking the ball away.
