Next 3 games should be the same. Russell gets out to a big early lead, get some younger kids in the last quarter to help build some depth for playoffs and next yr.

The next three games for Russell should really help their Offense come together before the playoffs start. Playing at home vs. Pendleton and Lewis and on the Road vs. Bath County should be huge Offensive games for the Devils and QB Smith. The running game should kick in gear with Conley and open up the passing game even more for Russell. The Offense seems to be getting better in last 3 games against good teams West Carter, Fleming County and Boyd County. We have averaged 32 ppg. in last 3 games. If we can cut down the TO's when we get in the redzone and turn them into scores this offense can be really good to go along with the great defense Russell has shown this year.

I do agree that Russell's offense will look better over the next 3 games due to the competition they are playing. It is good they play Raceland in the last game to get back to some real football before the playoffs where they will meet Belfry. This is a boring few weeks for Russell but it has to be endured because of the weak district they play in. I would like to see Russell's defense pitch shutouts in the next 3 games, though. That would be something to play for over the next 3.

These next 3 games when we face Pendleton, Lewis, and Bath County should be blowouts. I hope we really work on the offense side of the ball especially in the Red Zone. That has been hurting Russell especially in the Ashland game was to get in their Territory and moving the ball and then we would have a Turnover or we didn't succeed in getting the 4th down play. We should have beaten Ashland and should be undefeated heading into these 3 games. We need our offense to work on scoring when moving the ball in the red zone and we need to work on the run game more in next 3 weeks. If we can get this offense where it could be before the Raceland game this Russell team could be dangerous in the playoffs this year. IT will be interesting to see how this great Russell Defense so far this year will hold up and do vs. a strong Belfry team. This year's Belfry team averages 350- 400 yards on the ground per game with 6-10 runners doing the damage for Belfry.
