This is the same Catholic team that put 69 points on a very good Fulton team. But I think Belfry can win this game if they run the football , play solid defense and don't turn the football over . I'll be in the area next Friday I might hang around and watch this game.

several as in 7 touch downs? Belfry is good but they do not want to run with Catholic , Belfry has to play Smashmouth football and grind it out just to have a chance . Knoxville Catholic is no joke . practice hard and come out Friday and be very physical.

This game may be broadcast here http://irishstreamingnetwork.com/ , it was last year but was delayed because it was at Belfry, it may be live this year since it is a home game.

Last year Knox Cath came to Pond Creek and were shocked 38-10. This year they know what they are gonna see so I expect a closer game.

Just for fun Max Preps has this as two National top 100 teams facing off (#2 in KY, Belfry #81 National vs #3 in TN, Knox Cath #100 National). While I don't put stock in computer polls this makes this game interesting because on paper you have two of the best teams in the South East going to war.

I think knowing what you have to face is different than being able to prepare for it. With all the talent Knox Cath has on the field it's still Clemson commit Amari Rodgers who is the threat. During last years game Belfry held him in check and he still managed to get a few big catches. I think the Pirates do it again on the road as long as the DB's play the way they have shown they are capable of playing.

Knox Cath is currently ranked #3 in the state overall, ranking only behind Oakland and Brentwood Academy and they rank #100 nationally according to Maxpreps.. They're 4-1 on the year, but, their only was listed as 1-0 loss by forfeit against Morristown West. Not sure what the situation there was. However, in the 4 games actually played on the field, this team is averaging 55 points per game, while giving up 17, against good, not great competition. They list 56 on the roster, but, there aren't any freshmen listed, so, this is top 3 grades only. Belfry can win this game, but, they'll need to play flawless and be able to control the clock and keep that powerful offense of theirs off the field as much as possible. If the Pirates can pull this one off, I think it would answer a lot of questions about how they could stack up against the other state powers in the state. Anytime you're playing an opponent ranked higher than Maryville, MBA, Ensworth, Independence, Centennial, etc., you've beaten a great football team.. Good luck, Pirates. Represent the state and make us proud.

Knox cath had to forfeit the 63-30 win against Morristown West for playing an ineligible freshman.. Paperwork or something wasn't done in the office so the coach self reported and forfeited.
