2A Newport Catholic beats 4A Scott 47-21

Running clock in the 3rd quarter with Newcath's JV playing half the 3rd and all of the 4th quarter. First Scott touchdown came from a return on the kickoff, with the other 2 touchdowns on against the NCC JV squad. Newcath's Defense dominated the game.

They better have the attention of the east again. Are they better than the Mayfield, Desales or Cal? None of us will know until November, but one thing is for sure, one poster doesn't know as much as he thinks he does.

NCC's game against Belfry this season will tell if they're serving notice on the rest of 2A to be very very aware or not. This is an impressive win.

Not sure why a good outing against Belfry would serve notice to the rest of 2A. Belfry is probably one of the best teams regardless of class, so a loss really wouldn't say alot. However, if they win, now that would make Mayfield aware.

Scott is coming back to earth as expected. That 4A district is absolutely wide open. Nice game by New Cath. The Belfry game will be interesting to watch.
